Secret shoppers

So it isn't exactly working from home, but I am sure you have seen these ads all over the web. And if you are like me, you are wondering are they legit. Well some are. I have found 2 that I know first hand are in fact legit. When looking for ones that are for real make sure they are not asking you for any money. If they want any kind of money up front, walk away... or click the he page close, how ever you want to say it. They only want your money. You do not want to work with this company. Another thing to to look for, who are they asking you to work with. Are they companies you have heard of. What are they asking you to do. The 2 companies I am going to give you work with major chains, like walmart, and others like that. They will have you go in set up displays, work with managers, sometimes at the movies you look for piracy, or watch people's reaction to trailers. Other times you will go to a store and then get a shirt take it to a dressing room, and get a serial number. While there, get a clerk's name and answer questions about he store set up. They are relatively easy tasks to complete and the money is pretty good. These are 2 great tried and true sites.

Certified Field Associates
There are many other mystery shopper programs that are legit. These are just 2 I have personally dealt with.

These are a great place to start. This is also great advice. I want to "work from home" but you never can be sure what if legit and what isn't. I am glad that you have provided two places for people to start off looking into. I will keeping up with this blog in the future to watch for more great ideas and advice.

Hey, this technically may not be "working from home," but everyone needs to go shopping, right? Why not make some money while you're out picking up the bread and milk?

Thanks for the tips and the links!

Secret shopping can be a great source of part time income. You should check out www.violition.com. It has a listing of mystery shopping jobs and certifications.

The more companies you register with and build a reputation with the better your jobs will be. Sometimes you may even be requested.

Great blog. Lots of great information.

Thanks for the advice! I have always wanted to be a secret shopper, but have heard the horror stories from people who were scammed and never made any money or got their money back. I'll have to check these sites out. Thanks again.

I'm always looking to add some money to the coffers. I think being a secret shopper would be a good job as long as we don't have to travel very far - gas prices the way they are. I'm going to check out the sites you listed and spend more time reading the rest of your posts. Thanks a bunch.
